In this episode, Opaque starts by being in silly mode before waffling about the usual stuff which includes an impression of Cheech and Chong, as well as an idea for an impersonation special, with a snippet of what Rupert Sheldrake and Terence McKenna would sound like on it, before carrying on with the interview with Ian R Crane.

The talk starts with Ian R Crane talking about when he had a millionaire’s lifestyle which disillusioned him and made him question his life in the corporate world, and when he had some time off for self reflection, wondering what was happening in his life and the world, and as he was approaching 40 at the time, he elaborates on how he feels this was part of a ‘transpersonal process’ which is known negatively as the midlife crisis.

The subject matter goes on a tangent via the oil industry and the use of fluoride, and Carl Jung, 911, and Ian’s personal library of books he’s accumulated post ‘midlife opportunity’, which remains the main topic.

Other topics include Terence McKenna’s Timewave Zero and 2012, looking at the clock at 11:11, and the fact that winter solstice 2012 will be at 11:11 GMT.

After a break and a musical interlude, the conversation goes onto the subject of David Icke and how Ian Crane read three of his books back to back within a few days. The subject of psychedelics comes up and Ian says that in his opinion, these plants should be temporary in their lives.

Opaque signs off by pointing that he would like to be a guest on other people’s podcasts if the opportunity arrives.

Music by Ozric Tentacles and Syd Barrett’s Pink Floyd.
