In this episode, Opaque interviews Druid/bard/poet Matthew Holbrook, who he recorded on top of Glastonbury Tor in episode 24. Before the interview, he plays a repeat of that poem, and chats about how he felt it was a wise move to take the podcast away from the usual psychedelic related stuff and focus for a while on the other branches of his eclectic spiritual model. Then he reads an email from Australian listener Diceanne.

During the interview, Matthew discusses his strict Anglican Christian upbringing, and how he converted to Paganism, feeling that this was based less on myth and speculation, and more on one’s observance of the sun and the moon, and also points out that in this modern age with problems such as climate change, Paganism helps people to focus on the Earth by giving people a sense of being on a living planet. The conversation the goes onto how Christian festivals were superimposed onto pagan festivals. Opaque’s tuppence worth to this is how he has fused paganism with his psychedelic practices and his Indian influences from previous travels.

As he wraps up the show, Opaque mentions that he will go to the October Gallery to record Graham Hancock doing a lecture.
